Day 6 on the Yacht

Today is day 6 on the yacht, so far I have worked 3 of those days, and today I have worked 5 hours so far.

The yacht office is holding up well. Yesterday and today we have been at a location with no shore power, so we have been running off of the generator and solar. Yesterday we only ran the generator to run the oven, and today we only ran the generator for the trash compactor. The rest of work time has been solar and battery powered. Here is todays office location at Prevost Harbor on Stuart Island in the San Juan islands.

All that work to get the boat office configured just right is now paying off.

Chatting with some neighbors last night they made a comment about it would be better to be retired and not have to work from the boat. I would agree with that, but it is certainly worthwhile to be able to work from the boat when I want to until I get to that point of retirement.

The internet has been great with the Starlink internet on board. I was on a teams call this morning with people from France and Mexico, and there was no performance degradation.

To make things ever more interesting, we did not run the generator so everything I used in power was from solar. The first day that the Stedman Solutions, LLC corporate headquarters was 100% solar powered.
