100th night on the boat

Last night was the 100th night that we have been on the boat since purchasing it in 2020. It wa also the 15th consecutive night on board on the current trip, and it marks about 45% through the current trip.

While on board, I have been able to work from the pilothouse mini office just as well as I would from my home office, althought I only have a single 32 inch monitor rather than three 40 inch monitors, but I am surviving. I have had calls with new clients, existing clients, and team members. As well as pair programming (pair DBA’ing) over teams. I even released the August release of Database Health Monitor while on board.

We have stayed at many spectacular locations, and had some great weather, and some windy weather over the last couple of weeks. Here is Toba Wilderness Marina that we stayed at a few days ago:

I give a special thanks to Elon Musk and Starlink, without Starlink I would be trapped at home or in an office. With the freedom provided by Starlink I can work while underway, or on anchor with a solid internet connection anywhere that we have gone so far.

Here is our trip map so far at almost 50% into this trip with 244 miles travelled so far, and about that much to go.

I have been posting daily posts on https://shipslog.stedman.us as we have been motoring along on this trip.

We have seen Orca whales, Humpback whales, and various other marine life along the way.
